If you are seeing more and more international and multi-lingual students in your classes and wondering how adjust your teaching, this issue of Teaching with Writing is for you. We asked a trio of speakers from our spring lunch on writing pedagogy for multi-lingual writers to transform their talks into brief articles.
As spring term arrives, please remember to nominate outstanding undergraduate student essays for a WIC Culture of Writing Award. Once departments have chosen a paper to nominate, fill out the nomination form and submit to email@example.com by 5 PM PST, June 1, 2015. The complete policy and submission instructions are on the WIC website here.
Through the annual Culture of Writing Awards, WIC and participating departments and schools foster a commitment to excellence in undergraduate student writing and recognize the value of writing across the disciplines. Participation in the Culture of Writing Awards has thrived since 2006 as students earn recognition and cash awards through either individual or team writing projects.
